The story behind the painting:
This somber painting was predominantly inspired by the song, "The Girls Of Amsterdam". It captures a slice of the dark underbelly of the red light district of Amsterdam, so full of exotic women. It is not a celebration of the world’s oldest profession, but rather a depiction of the one-way ticket lifestyle that these girls were living.
